I was thinking today about how funny God is. Growing up I loved my mom so much and she was my best friend. We spent most of my weekends in high school together watching sappy movies and listening to love songs and baking together. When she passed away, I lost my friend. I felt so lonely and sad. But God replaced that pain with a new friend. A different kind of best friend. One that actually still likes to watch sappy movies and loves listening to love songs...So this is my time to brag about my best friend.... I hope it doesn't annoy anyone, but it was so great! So, on Valentine's day, Robby had class for most of the day, and when he got home at about 6:30, he told me he needed to study and that I needed to go to the library for about an hour. We were planning on watching a movie and he was going to grill something. That was how we were going to celebrate Valentines day... I knew something was up, and that he was definately not "studying" but I was obedient and went to the library. (Which was probably really odd to the people that worked there, since I am rather pregnant and was alone at night on Valentine's day...?!?) So finally I was so lonely that I called and asked if I could come home. I came home and knocked on the door and Robby came and opened it....hysterical!! There he was in a cute pair of jeans and a tie... thats all.. hahah...I know everyone is probably rolling their eyes, or throwing up...hah.. he also had a towel draped over his arm and said "Welcome ma'am..." He was trying to be so serious and it was so cute but funny!!! There was music playing and he sat me down in a chair and poured me sparkling grape juice and there were rose petals and chocolate raspberry truffles sitting out for me to eat and a foot massager (not to eat the foot massager...I know i'm pregnant and eating comes really naturally, but not that...it was just for my feet obviously...) so I just relaxed while he was rushing around finishing dinner. When it was ready, he came and got me and he had fixed homeade lobster fetuccini alfredo! it was actually amazing!! we hung out and decorated a box lid for Michael that we were going to take to him the next day (I had put some good stuff together to eat in a cool box since he's a family-less student all alone in VA! hah) and then we watched "A Walk in the Clouds". Overall it was precious. I'm not nearly a romantic, but he is precious and he loves to show people that they are loved, and he outdid himself once again.
