One of my previous blogs was about taking some good snacks to a family that we had met. This morning when Robby picked them up for church he had to come back and get Trey and I because we weren't ready on time. The boys came in and helped Trey finish getting dressed and we got to snap a few pictures of them! Their older brother Antwain didn't come this morning so I'll have to get a picture of him later!
We have been picking them up every Sunday for church and sitting through the service with them and taking them home. We are realizing that asking two 3rd graders to sit through an hour and fifteen minutes of a service (who have not grown up in church and aren't used to it, with parents that don't go to church) is probably asking a little much, so we are going to make up a little fun sheet for them to do during the service with some "Bible stuff" for them to learn. We'd rather spend the time to teach them things than having them sit there bored and tuning everything out and continually asking us when its going to be over!
Robby has been going to their house once a week and doing a Bible study with them (and sometimes their mom, Clareece) which they seem really in to. So, I am excited to be able to update you all on how our relationship with them continues to develop!
Way to have your eyes shut Robby!! (This is John)
I could squeeze this boy! Here is Javon!
Javon, John and Trey!
