The word kept ringing in my ears for the rest of the day…I mean…twins???
Imagine this…Yesterday after church, Robby and I are about to leave Panera after enjoying one of those amazing Cinnamon Crunch bagels, and this lady comes up to us and says with a big smile “Congratulations!............twins?” My first response should have been, “Oh, no.. that’s my husband…”(thanks dad) or possibly, “Well aren’t you a little @#%*&” (is pregnancy a decent enough excuse to cuss?? ha..)
But honestly, are you kidding me?? Who says that?? Now, from the comments I have received from people, I’m imagining that I’m about to have this 12 ton baby that looks like a sumo wrestler…Once again, the doctor says i'm measuring normal...Why can't people just think before they speak?!? HAH...
I’m curious as to what you might have said as a response to the poor, socially deprived woman…

Over thanksgiving break I was shopping with my mom when she asked a lady whether she was having a girl or a boy and when the baby was due. The lady wasn't even pregnant. (So it could be worse...)
Maybe you could have gotten really excited and just said, "yeah! I'm due in two weeks - how much longer do YOU have?"
People can be so bold at times and not think before they speak. You will be fine! You are just right there at the end ready to have that sweet baby! Keep us posted!

I think every mom has a story like this. It always happens right at the end of pregnancy when you are ready to pop. Classic examples:
1) "You look miserable".
or the one that someone in my husband's family told me in front of a crowd of people:
2) "Wow. You look really swollen". Gee, thanks.
