The Thrill of the Hunt

What is it about a woman and a bargain? Maybe it's not just a woman thing, but I guess I know mostly women that get ecstatic about this! Last week Harris Teeter had triple coupons! They triple any one up to $.99! I am still new to the triple coupon thing, so I'm learning all of the tricks, but I got about $30 worth of groceries for $7.17. I would say that's a pretty good deal!



Yesterday, in the Target ad, I saw you could get 4 boxes of General Mills cereal for $11 and a free gallon of milk! Well, I went and saw that some of the General Mills cereal was on sale for $1.99 so I actually got 4 boxes and a free gallon of milk for $9.27! I get so thrilled when I find a good deal. I actually went back this morning and got 4 more boxes and another free gallon of milk for a family with six kids in the neighborhood that we do ministry in.
In Georgia, at the Kroger we would go to, they very often have boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.99lb or less. It was never that cheap here, until about 3 months ago and they have started selling it for that price quite often! That is so much better than the $4+lb it usually is. Since we don't eat hardly any beef, that's a great find for us chicken people!
I met a woman once who told me that she didn't pay any attention to the price of meat when she buys it. She just buys whatever. She is not overly wealthy, I guess she just doesn't really care. That is so hard for me to imagine. It's so exciting to know you are saving money!!! Hahah.. ok, I'm closing out this post because I think I'm probably scaring some of you. Also, remember that I stay at home with a baby most of the time and don't get out as much anymore! Hahah! Hope you find a good bargain soon!
